Cheapcarinsurancebrt.org – Toyota has reportedly prepared a new tiny SUV to follow the shift in trends. This SUV will have smaller dimensions compared to the Toyota C-HR which has been fighting with the Honda HR-V and Nissan Juke. The platform used will be similar to Toyota Yaris Europe.
Auto Express reports that Toyota’s new small SUV will appear to the public in the second half of this year, to fight with Nissan Juke. Even if you enter Indonesia, you will become a competitor of Suzuki Ignis. This car will be around 4 meters long.
Toyota European Executive Vice-President, Matt Harrison, said that specific segments continued to grow, attracting customers down from the Toyota Corolla C-segment. Harrison added that although they were quite impressed with the popularity of C-HR in the European market, they wanted to give something new.
The upcoming Yaris-based SUV will be Toyota’s second model to use a flexible GA-B architecture, featuring a MacPherson suspension at the front and torsion beam at the rear. Compared to the Yaris hatchback, this car is estimated to be slightly longer and about 40 mm taller, featuring a longer wheelbase and wider dimensions as well. This platform is also compatible with finer multi-link rear suspension, which shows that Toyota can offer an AWD version.
Problem runway kitchen, this SUV relies on hybrid powertrain, 1.5 liters of electricity used by the Yaris hatchback with 113 HP power and front wheel drive. Toyota may offer a regular 1.5 liter gasoline model in certain markets and depends on demand.
